We went and watched Kendra play volleyball. Kendra and JJ somehow made it on TV.

Guess Who's Gonna Be 2
Well, Halloween is approaching and that means JJ turns a whopping 2 years old! Since we were back in Hays we thought we would start the festivities early and throw a party at Grandma & Grandpa Brungardt's house. The kids had a fabulous time...Grandma and Grandpa are still cleaning up the whirlwind of fun. And we all know how Lavern likes to keep his house clean :)

JJ's 2yr old photos & Ava's 3 month old photos
Andrea and the kids went back to Hays America this weekend to see the family and had a small birthday party for JJ. She also got some pics of the kids...Ava enjoyed the photos and JJ did too until he had to stop playing with the toys to take pictures :) Photos courtesy of http://tracyphoto.blogspot.com/

Pick'n Apples & Train Ride
It's that time of year again to pick the best Johnathon apples around. We got up early Sat. morning and headed to Schweitzer Orchard on the out skirts of St. Joe. We had to do some major walking to find the remaining Johnathon's as they were disappointingly picked over. Notwithstanding, we found some in back forty that were high in the trees. So JJ and I improvised!!! He got our bushel and headed back for JJ's train ride. He insisted over and over again that he wanted to ride the chu chu!! So, we put him on and let'm ride all by himself.

Daddy and JJ's Horseback Ride
I don't know who is more horse crazy my JJ or Dad. Anyway, here's the two of them on our Missouri Fox Trotter, Todd. My brother really enjoys our horses name :)
Usually JJ says horses about 100 times a day. We have plastic horses, puzzles of horses, movies of horses. If there is a form of horse we own it.
JJ's our daring little man and likes to do things by himself. So, we let him ride the horse by his lonesome. And he did great, that is until it was time to get off, which resulted in a meltdown.

Welcome to the Sloan Blog
The reclusive Sloan's are going main stream. We know and understand that we are not always the most communicative with the on goings of our family, however with this blog you will become family :)
