Huntin Season

Last week we headed back to Hays because of opening season. Also, JJ's birthday finally arrived after 2 birthday parties. We went trick or treating with Maddie and Ethan and scored lot of candy :) Ava had her 1st Halloween as a bear, she was as cute as can be :) Ohh and my costume was Lavern, the Dillon's bag boy, and yes I realize I kind of look like him :)

Made it on TV

We went and watched Kendra play volleyball. Kendra and JJ somehow made it on TV.

Deana Rose Farmstead

Good times down on the farm :) We met Aunt Dianne, cousin Faith & Ellie in KC. We cruised the farm and saw and fed the goats, road a horse, and checked out the cows. We were pretty tired when we were done.

Guess Who's Gonna Be 2

Well, Halloween is approaching and that means JJ turns a whopping 2 years old! Since we were back in Hays we thought we would start the festivities early and throw a party at Grandma & Grandpa Brungardt's house. The kids had a fabulous time...Grandma and Grandpa are still cleaning up the whirlwind of fun. And we all know how Lavern likes to keep his house clean :)

Pumpkin Patch

Not only did the kids get photos taken, but they also went to a pumpkin patch in Ellis, KS. JJ and his cousin Gavin picked pumpkins and admired the goats.. The goats were a hit :)

JJ's 2yr old photos & Ava's 3 month old photos

Andrea and the kids went back to Hays America this weekend to see the family and had a small birthday party for JJ. She also got some pics of the kids...Ava enjoyed the photos and JJ did too until he had to stop playing with the toys to take pictures :) Photos courtesy of http://tracyphoto.blogspot.com/

Saving Gas

With gas getting more expensive a friend of ours, Tony Jago brought over his sleek Enduro motorcycle for us to try out. BTW, it gets 108 mpg!!!!!! The only problem is I can't figure out how to fasten 2 car seats to it. Anyways, JJ and I had a good ride.

Pick'n Apples & Train Ride

It's that time of year again to pick the best Johnathon apples around. We got up early Sat. morning and headed to Schweitzer Orchard on the out skirts of St. Joe. We had to do some major walking to find the remaining Johnathon's as they were disappointingly picked over. Notwithstanding, we found some in back forty that were high in the trees. So JJ and I improvised!!! He got our bushel and headed back for JJ's train ride. He insisted over and over again that he wanted to ride the chu chu!! So, we put him on and let'm ride all by himself.

Daddy and JJ's Horseback Ride

I don't know who is more horse crazy my JJ or Dad. Anyway, here's the two of them on our Missouri Fox Trotter, Todd. My brother really enjoys our horses name :)

Usually JJ says horses about 100 times a day. We have plastic horses, puzzles of horses, movies of horses. If there is a form of horse we own it.

JJ's our daring little man and likes to do things by himself. So, we let him ride the horse by his lonesome. And he did great, that is until it was time to get off, which resulted in a meltdown.
